One of my favourite things to watch on Youtube is the ‘What I Got for my Birthday’ tags and so I thought I’d do my own blog version. I love to see what people have been gifted as I find it really inspiring for finding presents for my own friends and family.

For my main present I was really lucky to be given some money as we were planning a trip to Bicester Village and Oxford the following week and I knew I’d want to buy something there!

JEWELLERY

I’ve always been a huge Mulberry fan and couldn’t wait to stop by when we hit the shops in Bicester. I was able to use my birthday money to treat myself to the Mulberry Bayswater Leather Bracelet (similar linked) in the Natural/Mushroom Metallic colour and at only a fraction of the usual price.

BEAUTY

I quite often receive more luxury makeup for gifts as they’re often items I don’t feel like I can justify splurging on myself. As a mum to be, I’ve been eager to try out the Charlotte Tilbury Rock ‘N’ Kohl Liquid Eyeliner Pencil £19 in the colour Eye Cheat to help me through those dark Autumn mornings. I also received the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise cream eyeshadow in Marie Antoinette £22, which my make up artist used on me for my wedding day makeup. Two old favourites I had ran out of and was excited to open were the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara £23 and the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara £14.50, both long time make up bag staples of mine. I have really been enjoying using my new Classic Wet Brush £11.99. I have fairly long hair so this has been a joy to use in the morning rush!

Whilst in Oxford I was also able to pick up my Space NK special birthday gift. I would highly recommend signing up for a Space NK N.DULGE card to receive a free beauty treat every birthday alongside other benefits. This year was fab as it was a goodie bag containing a trio of luxury mini products; a Lipstick Queen Hello Sailor Lipstick (1.5g perfect for handbags), Caudalie Divine Oil (15ml) and the Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan (20ml). This is the perfect way to sample those cult, luxury beauty items before you part with hard earned cash.

HOME

I am so lucky to have such kind friends who know my style really well. I am so looking forward to drinking out of my Anthropologie Petal Palette Monogram Mug £10 on Autumn evenings, whilst burning my Anthroplogie Prosecco Maison Mini Candle Tin £8 (I cant drink it, but I can smell it!). I also had a pretty Brass Star Spoon £5.95, which I’m hoping to use in a sugar bowl, and a glass grey vase, which will go so well in our living room.

STATIONERY

I’m a huge stationery fan and often spend hours perusing in Paperchase and John Lewis. My husband ( R ) knows this only too well! I had a pretty new rose gold and acrylic Stapler £8.99 (similar linked), which will fit in so nicely with our office decor. I also had a super duper new Staedtler Double-hole tub pencil sharpener (which I’d massively hinted at), as recommended by Johanna Basford herself in her Youtube tutorial How to sharpen your pencils! I’m really into colouring for relaxation and adore her beautiful hand-drawn illustrations.

MISCELLANEOUS

Some of the loveliest presents I think, can be those that have the most thought put into them. Having got married one year ago and STILL not had our wedding album made yet, R had lots of our favourite photos of the day printed out so that I can look back on them whilst we wait on the album. I’m really looking forward to being able to re-watch one of the biggest film releases of the year, Beauty and the Beast £6.99, again and again on DVD. Perhaps I could eat one of my favourite Fiona Cairns Fairy Cakes £5 my husband bought whilst we watch (I couldn’t find the exact ones but similar are available at Waitress and Selfridges). R also bought me Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit £7.99, which I’m sure will bring many hours of fun now that the Autumn nights are drawing in.

Thank you for stopping by!
